Do you get enough vitamins?

Winter is just around the corner and I love this season  –  I can be inside under a blanket, drinking tea and reading a good book. But it’s also the time when I don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables. My diet is not as fresh and healthy as during the summer. I can feel my energy drop and often find myself with very low vitamin levels.

Even when consuming enough greens, how much of our daily vitamin requirements do they actually cover? Especially the amount of Vitamin C in produce is dependent on a lot of factors. Transportation time, nutrients added in the growth phase and the way the greens are treated in the kitchen are few examples.

Untitled-2At Plantui we are very interested in providing high quality products, so we tested our plants at an external lab. The lab tested basil grown in our Plantui 6 Smart Garden, and compared it to Basil purchased from a local grocery store. For fair comparison, we grew our Basil with 4 grams of nutrients per 1 Liter of water.  The test shows that the basil grown in the Plantui 6 Smart Garden has a higher level of Vitamin C – actually up to 4 times more!

Using a Plantui Smart Garden ensures that the plants develop high levels of vitamins no matter the season. Also, the greens don’t lose vitamins in the transportation process. Having a Plantui Smart Garden in your home can be a friendly reminder to use more greens in the dishes. And how easy is it just to pinch a bit of Coriander or Parsley and add it to your meal?
