Salvia rosmarinus
Rosemary, is a fragrant herb, with woody stem and evergreen needle-like leaves, native to the Mediterranean region. Leaves have a bitter, astringent taste and a characteristic aroma which complements many cooked foods and drinks and cocktails like gin & tonic, also it’s used to make herbal tea and fragrances. When roasted with meats or vegetables, the leaves impart a mustard-like aroma with an additional fragrance of pine wood that goes well with barbecued foods.
